As Thanksgiving Day approaches I’d like to encourage every resident, every family member, and every employee – in fact, everyone reading this, to be truly thankful. What does that mean? Some say it means you simply give thanks to God for what you have, and let go of whatever you feel you “don’t have”. Others say, “We’re all in the same boat”, and so we all will eventually go through wonderful things, not so wonderful things, and inevitably some bad things. That’s a part of this thing we call life.
For all of us, life is a mixed bag of ups and downs. But even when we consider ourselves to be in a “down” time, there’s always plenty to be thankful for. The Apostle Paul repeated over and over that we are to be thankful “no matter what”. He also says to “be happy”. So get up, get out, do what you can, and be thankful you are alive! Don’t waste the life you’ve been given.
At the Villas we’re thankful for all the new residents that have come to live with us. Each person brings so much to the lives of everyone here. Both new and established residents comment that they are thankful to be here.We believe it’s because the Villas is such a joyful place to live and to work.
Personally, I am thankful for my family and friends and every day that I have here on earth.
